It is a bright, sun-shiny day here i NorCal. Winds are light and the temperature is mild. We have been running in the mid to high 60's for over a week now. NO has his first RWLL (Roseville West Little League) practice today. We are scheduled for a "dirt" field at 5. I am leaving work early to pick him up from daycare. I had hoped to get to work early enough to avoid charging PTO but it didn't happen.
Boss-man is out skiing today and I am headed to a design session with my fellow DBA. This will be the 3rd design for our real-time ETL (how we load our data warehouse/reporting system from the production database). Ok, that is enough technical jargon :)
The verse for today is truly amazing. To think that we are the brothers and sisters of Jesus - that we have the right to call God "Father" is an incredible thing. It brings into sharp focus just how personal our relationship with our Lord really is.

Hebrews 2:11 (NLT) So now Jesus and the ones He makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them His brothers and sisters.
